Im getting killed with all these set ups, before the pressure can get there, and Demarcus Ware is my rusher so he is by all means quick enough, but the little d@mn hb slants, or whatever quick *** routes this guy did, raped it, my outside db was too busy getting blocked to shake off and how do i defend the run with these defense, cus i had to switch my entire line ups, so when they run, i cant stop using this, and then when i switch plays, I got players in all the wrong places -_-

The goal line D is really made for deeper passes where the routes have to progress, and the pressure gets to the QB before he has a chance to throw. To cover the flats and hb slants you will have to use different defensive hot routes like flat or buzz zones. Also the first set up gibs showed is weak on the left side because the flats and the deep seam are always open if you are good at reading the D. You can adjust to the defense by putting a D-end (which will really be a DB) in a buzz zone because the flat zone will get there late, or you can user the flats with one of your safeties and put some one else in his spot, but it would be best to user the middle. Don't switch up your line up because the plays are designed to use the players exactly where they are, and you won't be able to run any other defense. It's not made to run on every down, but it can be if you use different set ups. I use it more on first and second down to crush the run, and when my opponent thinks to pass out of a 1 WR set I have the pass covered with the pressure to get the sack, and maybe the pick 6! Lab it a little with the different set ups to see what stops what, and where it's weak. Anytime you run a play you have to know what it stops, and what it doesn't. “The superior man blames himself. The inferior man blames others.” -Don Shula

Well in watching Sgibs7 defense video, It doesn't look like that is the defense left the way it is suppose to be, it is definately modified, unless he uses Newman as a third string DB, cus thats what you have to do to get him lined up there, and Hatcher, as DT , has 6,6 80 jumping opposed to Ratliff 6-5 60 jumping, seems to be just for that itself, which seems to be mods in their own, so keeping it normal, are you sure? But yeah , how do you crush the run with this defense, lol I cant seem to do it :/

also im wondering if this needs to be multi D playbook, cus Multi D has the Quarters Combo set which is used in videos, opposed to like NYJ which doesnt have that particular formation, and others like 3 Deep,

| You are right sgibs does have his roster rearranged, but that is how he plays. He sets up his D to play to his strengths. He has Watkins starting in front of Sensabaugh, Hatcher in front of Ratliff, and Jenkins and Scandrick starting in front of Newman and so on. What I'm saying is you don't have to move them around and the play is still as effective as when he uses it. I use the Raiders in a 3-4 and I have the roster all mixed up to play to each player's strength, but if I use the 'Boys I leave them the same and it still works. You don't have to change the line up unless you want to run it exactly the way sgibs uses it. I'm going to look at the video to see who he uses where. Maybe it's more effective. Also I stop the run with another set up I came up with labbing the other plays on the video. I'll hit you back on the set up if you want to try it. Sgibs is a genius for thinking up this goal line D. I'm working on other set ups to where I can use this on almost every down because your opponent doesn't know what or who is going to hit him. | I use the NYJ playbook, and it doesn't matter which Quarters formation you use because it still comes out the same when you audible. |

The most imporatnt spots on the depth chart with this play is your MLB and your 4th DB. MLB needs to be fast and have good block shedding and good power/finess moves. your DB needs to be fast. thats why I love the cowboys for this D as you cant any better then Ware and Newman combination. Keep in mind that when we put things out guys that you need to take what we give you and tweak it to your strenghts. Dont be to robotic...ya the tips we give are AWESOME but in orderly to truly becomes GREAT you need to find your own niche from within our tips. any questions guys?
