I think the Nickel 3-3-5 is very underrated. It provides the user with both man and zone plays. There are a lot of corner blitzes. Also, in this formation, the offense does not know whether you are trying to stop the run or pass. The offense may think because there are only 3 defensive lineman and 3 linebackers that it will be easy to run on the defense, but the d can stop the run.
