My whole game is played in shotgun. The only run I really use is hb direct snap, otherwise mix it up with screens and passes to all over the field. So far it's been working fine especially since my D is lousy. Record online is 24-7, of course I'm probably just playing bums since I'm sure you need a good run game to win games against real opponents.

My problem is if I ever do switch to anything other than shotgun it's obvious I'm ganna run. All my plays that I like and practice with are out of gun. So what I'm wanting to know is if there are any decent runs out of gun that will keep the d more honest.

Also I use the pats so I have fantasticly not fantastic rb's

Shotty 2 back power o is a solid run play usually can get 4-8 maybe more yards from it

i cant remember the exact play but its out of the same formation as ds and its a power run to the left i like it cause it catches d of guard cause they think your gonna run the other way with a ds, and the draw out of snugs flip is really good if you pass alot out of that formation

Another way to think about the problem is this: if people know you will always run when you are not in a gun formation, then try adding more passing plays from under center. That way when you do come out in under center, they have to guess whether you are passing or running

One very simple scheme I used when i ran NE was Iform tight.I switched books and I miss this the most.

run-power O.I would motion the WR till he got behind the RT,RG or as close to the QB as possible. It just depends on how the D is trying to stop the run.I think what helped me on this one is I would read the blocks and take the first hole. Most of the time it was between the RG and RT with my WR leading the way.I broke off good chunks off yards and quite a few big plays against good players not bums.

Pass-z spot. From the motion in the run play and auto motion in this play its pretty easy to tell if their run d is man or zone. The flat route is going to beat man up pretty good and the spot can beat man and zone. The TE on the post and corner are good looks but against a blitz its tuff to get off.

You want them to think your running to open up z spot.I know this not in the gun but this was my bread n butter mini pound game for about 1 1/2 months.
