However Im in the UK nad have no idea of prices over there but I was always led to believe that electronics were cheaper in the us than here |

| Basic macbook, $999 and work the student discount in there. Worth every single penny, I would make love to the thing if I could. My buddy just got one, same exact thing. _________________ www.twitter.com/maddenbible "A customer is the most important visitor on our premises, he is not dependent on us. Generally, higher number the better. Lookup a notebook that is expensive, write down its processor, ram, video card details. then pull the ones your interested in up and viola..
for excel and word.. you can buy any new laptop. if you want to play games of any 3d nature such as black ops etc.. forget 600$.. but any of the 300-600 laptops can run office. if you post the ones your interested in i'll review them for you. |

| lol I saw a laptop at Walmart that was only $200 and it had nice specs..
I was surprised when I saw it.. If you ever go to Walmart, stop by and check & gimme the specs & I can tell you if it's worth it. The laptop I saw was definitely worth the price for all the RAM & HD Space.. I dont remember processor speed..
Of course I would only expect to use this CPU for work.. I'm positive it could easily view videos & such.. just not any crazy games w/ a lot of graphics. _________________ PSN: wangtangkiki MB's Most Helpful Member 2010! | Sgibs i would recommend a MAC book pro it fits your price range and will do everything that you are asking for. I have had multiple laptops and the MAC book pro is bar none the best laptop money can buy. |
