- I think it's clear that the best part of Madden 11 over Madden 10 will be faster games. Maybe it's not as relevant if you have tons of free time, but for busy folk it's hard to get more than one game in a night since they take an hour each! If the games can really be sped up to around 30 minutes (death to the stupid referee animations!!!) it will be so much better because twice as many games = more varied opponents = more challenges to help you get better.
The thing that is going to speed up games is GameFlow. It's nothing you will like.. The CPU calls your plays. There is going to be a Ranked - GameFlow option and a Ranked - Normal option. I believe it was Ian Cummings that said it, but you will not be able to switch from GameFlow to Not GameFlow. The CPU will always call your play, just like the defenses so what happens is that both sides have their play called by the CPU, but you can audible to one of your 5 plays you have set.
They speed up the game, but you don't get to call your plays. That sounds fun right? Not at all.. They should remove the useless referees and cut scenes because we don't want to see that.. I'd like to see that if I play offline or in my offline franchise. I don't want to see it in my ranked games where I played a few a week so about after a month, I've seen every cut scene and I don't care about presentation anymore.
Extra Points will be faster though.. So will 4th downs.. If you are in FG range on 4th down, it will have 4 options instead of showing the playbook. The 4 options: Kick FG, Fake FG, Punt, or Go For It. If you select Go For It, you'll be selecting a play so it won't be saving time.. i agree i think they should take out all the referee clips and images, its not like we already don't know if its a touchdown or a first down. and once the referee comes out you can't call a quick huddle which renders qb sneak almost useless

I BELIEVE U CAN CHOOSE TO USE GAMEFLOW OR JUST CHOOSE NOT TO USE IT AND U WILL HAVE UR ENTIRE BOOK AVAILABLE TO U. Yeah you can do it offline, but one of the developers said that you will have to have GameFlow on or you'll have to have it off. You can't switch from one to another online.

| Sigh... Thanks for the info wangtangkiki. I agree with Nizz... At a minimum, I hope they kill all of those animations. | |

| I think Im going to like the new playcalling in 11. Very Cool. But I hope if your playing offline multiplayer...that you can use headsets and the plays will be called in for each team. And the play art will not show. Hopefully those can be customized to what you need. But I think its a very cool concept. Nice job EA! | |

| NO..the CPU is not going to call your plays.. If you read the article by John Taylor on Game flow and Game planning...it says you can choose your own game planning...you choose 15 plays from your teams playbook..depending on situations..then if you have game flw on..depending on the situation..the coach will call in the play based off plays you chose for that situation. Thats the way it will work. And you can play with all that off if you choose to. I think its awesome..as long as you can customize it like I think you can. | |
