| im so used to the old ways of setting up my plays that i was glad to here it was coming back with the patch. however it got me thinking as to what ea has in store for the future. if they are trying to go the way of the strategy pad than maybe at some point the old way will be thrown out. i fthats the case than maybe getting the pad locked down now will give you an advantage in the future. anyone know if ea said anything about setting up plays in future maddens? | |

| I bet it stays in the game for at least 2 more versions of Madden until they swallow their pride & remove it.
They will say it's a better way, but in reality, it can't be if you have to move your thumb from the left stick every time you want to make an adjustment. It slows you down a lot.. especially when you want to try to blitz the a-gap.. You need to move two players.. You could move one player & blitz him without slowing down.. There is a delay from when you move your left thumb off the left stick to the strategy pad.. It's gonna happen every time. | |

| I think it will be gone within a couple years, but for now I'm going to try to get used to it. | |
