LOL, I just played an EAFL game with the Bills, and I'm still liking this scheme. Trent Edwards deep ball is a struggle, and results in 2 overthrow picks...but here's the latest line...

Trent Edwards: 17-28, 298, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 8 rushes, 44 rush yards, 2 rush TDs
Roscoe Parrish: 6 rec, 134 yds, 2 TD
James Hardy: 3 rec, 55 yds
Lee Evans: 3 rec, 34 yards, TD

CJ Spiller: 1 rush, 7 yards

Bills win: 32 - 9

As you can see, with all the passing, it's really leaving gaps to take off...I've seen a lot of *** D...and I'll explain.

The primary read man requires a shadow. Most are shadowing with a DE/OLB and taking away the quick pass...this leaves the seam open...which I attack next....then they go to all out coverage, which is when I start to run...

I've decided that if Gibs doesn't wanna pursue anything with this, I'll do it piece by piece over the course of the next couple months.

Ask Gibs did he use it vs me in our C4 game. Because I *** D him to death with Qb contain and spys

No...i ran mostly with the cowboys (actually my team though)..and towards the end of the season i ran it with a different team pretty much every game..

Gibs and I don't run the same book, mdolla...but I/he are working on working the plays into his book..

also, when i lived over there i was hard core poker player... i used to play in a free league (was called "pocket aces" poker league) over there that would be held at like gators, the horse betting place, and other bars....but now that i live in vegas im a hard core madden player (for lack of a better term)..which is pretty much *** backwards right? kinda funny...but when i lived over there i didnt know anyone who really played madden...wish i did.

Interested to see what it could be. Its probably really effective and something that most people overlook because they are always looking for the next big thing. Look at everything in Madden that is really effective its always something simple that comes from the base knowledge of the game.

Well if the first post I ever read of ZAN's on how to run a good offense is any type of gauge, I am truly excited for this.


He made a post last season that was talking about the 4 basic formation types you should use to make a good offense:

Compressed - Snugs Flip
Bunch - Bunch Wk
Run - I-Form
Balanced - Gun Split


It was a really great post, and I'm sure you guys can find it if you search the forums.

you are 100% as of TODAY...I was actually running 1 formation (more importantly 1 play all game) up until this evening.

But I just went back to my old mentality of how to run an effective offense...run form, compressed form, balanced form, and spread form....and implemented that SAME pass scheme...

I had to switch books to do it, but its a GREAT change...

Here is a tip for all of you...I'm utilizing Goaline, Gun Splitbacks, Gun Doubles Wk, and a Trips Form....there is one book where all the forms in the scheme have a ton of plays with this kind of route (sans goaline)...

My rough sketch of a scheme was put into effect tonight in the EAFL-Majors. I have the Bills and was facing the Titans...here was the results...much more balanced attack...but every play required the user to play up in the box because his men were out of position do to the route type...

Trent Edwards (he's god awful): 16-25, 309 yards, 2 tds
CJ Spiller: 10 rushes, 170 yards, 2 tds, 8 catches, 150 receiving yards, 1 td
Roscoe Parrish: 3 catches 99 yards
Lee Evans: 1 catch 15 yards

many other receivers got into action due to the route type being all over this book, and it helped Edwards get to 300+ yards...and more importantly the Bills scored 54 points in a four minute quarter game!

Bills won 54-41...I kinda let up on D and let him get over the top more because I kinda wanted the offense to get back on the field and let me see what I can do!

The C-route?

I'm guessing that you used Split Patriot - WR Corners; You said that the only way to cover the route was to user it.. if they user it, they leave the seam open, which WR Corners just happens to have a seam.

Arizona has SOOO many of these routes too.. only 5 books have Doubles Wk btw so it really narrowed my search lol.
