Roddy White....

From what you've seen so far this year in the NFL....do you all think that Roddy White is the best WR in the league right now?

you could make a strong case for it, i thought miles austin was the best WR in the league until the last two games he played in

other guys you have to thing about are Calvin Johnson and Brandon Loyd
they are both putting up some nice numbers on no name teams

He is definitely a top WR, but I think andre johnson is definitely above him, but white is definitely in top 5

White is not the best wr in the league, last night proved it, he didn't drop a pass intended to him all season if im not mistaking, but then last night, on the biggest stage, he drops 3 passes and almost dropped a huge pass for his team to win the game. Granted, he won the game winner, he did shove that guy and get away with it. But my point is, a elite wr shines on that stage, and doesn't drop easy passes. There is a lot of wr's that can be in this discussion though.

Calvin Johnson > Brandon Lloyd > Roddy White


Lloyd hasn't dropped a pass all season intended to him either I believe.. not sure if he did in London.

Calvin is awesome.. catches TDs like crazy..

I hate to say it but TOs performance on Monday Night was amazing especially that play when he hund on despite getting nailed by Troy and his girlie hair. Ok TO hasnt got any speed any more but he is playing amazingly well at the moment.

My man Fitz is also playing well but hasnt got a QB - interesting to see how any of the other WRs mentioned would play without a decent QB.

Breaston is underrated and Dez Bryant looks the real deal - 2 random comments to finish with

hmm...... how about T.O, Boldin, Desean Jackson, and Harvin. Oh yea and Brandon Marshall.

its pretty sad that we can't talk about fitzgerald in this argument because his QB can barely get him the ball

you are right...just a year or 2 ago fitz was the best WR in the league....Calvin Johnson is a great player...I think he would be the man if he had a QB that can get him the ball more consistantly...

I think roddy white is definatly top 5 just based off stats...everyone drops a pass here and there...12 recep for 138 yards....only dropped 2 balls...ill take that all day long. he caught the one that mattered!

2. Roddy White most definitely is the best WR in the league. The Ravens knew Matty Ice was gonna target White all game, and he still caught 11 or 12 balls. Drops happen. Every great WR has dropped a pass....some of the best WRs in the league are drop happy (TO)....Roddy White is hands down the best WR in the league. Too bad he's like Reggie Wayne and Hines Ward in Madden, where speed is the ultimate factor.

well if your looking at the numbers you have to mention lloyds name, atleast give him that much respect.

...yea i knw im late for the thread but i gotta chime in (as a falcons fan).....the difference between Lloyd and White is that Roddy has been puttin up great numbers for the past 4 years, this is Lloyds 1st breakout year

White has been slept on for far too long. Last year was the year where most Madden players found out who he was. And this is the year where everyone else is finding out who he is
IMO he is having the best year for a WR but he isnt the best in the lg. He would need to put up 2 more years of over 1100 yards for me to make that case and be 100% correct, and also not to feel like a homer

Roddy White (Ravens CBs suck.. and a PI that went uncalled.. He's been great, but don't act like those CBs could have stopped him anyway.. He's great.. they suck.)

Who's the most explosive WR in the league? DeSean Jackson.. He's the fastest WR in the league.. I've seen his name mentioned in this topic..

Brandon Lloyd's yards per reception average: 19.4
DeSean Jackson's yard per reception average: 19.8

A .4 yd difference...

but guess what..

Lloyd has 54 receptions for 1,046 yards..
Jackson only has 33 receptions for 652 yards..


He has nearly the same amount of YPR as DeSean Jackson does, but has 21 more receptions than Jackson..
Also he makes so many spectacular catches that other WRs couldn't do.. EX: MNF game.. TD pass in the 4th Quarter [it seemed like the 4th Q the whole game to me ]

brandon Lloyd is one of top receivers THIS season statistically....but roddy white is better....Lloyd has a better supporting cast then white does

4.M.Wallace
5.D.Bowe

Thats just my top 5 this season.

I'm not going to include Dre Johnson and Wayne because Johnson should have way more yards, the way Houston has had to fight back in every game, which means pass opportunities. Wayne only has 4 TD's. Bowe has a top 5 running game, and averaging 16 yards a catch and 11 td's

He didn't drop a pass until like week 8.. That isn't false. I don't know if he dropped a pass vs. 49ers/Chiefs/Chargers, but I"m sure he did.
