Madden Bible Online 360 League

Hey all. What do you all think about the idea of starting an Online League? With Sgibs' and Zfarls' permission, I would be happy to organize it if we can get enough interest.

Proposed rules:
Tourney style - no glitches but otherwise freestyle is fine. I beleive there are some rules in standard tourneys, maybe Sgibs could explain those. I think there are some substitution rules and some FG/Punt formation rules perhaps.

Proposed league setup:
- 6 Min Quarters, no accelerated clock
- Difficulty: All Pro
- Advance weeks every 3 days
- No fantasy draft - use current team rosters

Post your GT if you are interested. If you have any other rules, setup suggestions let me know and we can post polls to determine what to do.

Oh, and if anyone would rather play in a draft league, we can do that instead if most people prefer.

Ya eafl rules are like that.

That's good that you know the EAFL rules but I'm not trying to copy them necessarily. I am just proposing some rules which are up for suggestions. What I really want to know is who's in and who's not?

nah not rly his moms uptight with me thinks im a bad influence or some sh!t haha.but uhh he'll be in he hasnt been on cuz hes on a cruise id love 2join but im afraid i cant .

Well, actually I was thinking league with a draft to begin each season. I think it would be difficult to maintain enough continuity to do a franchise - there would be too much turnover. So instead of owners continuing with thier same team/same players season after season, at the end of the season we publish the Superbowl winner and begin a new season from scratch.

If everyone really wanted to do a true franchise, I could be convinced I guess. I've just never been a big fan of all that off season stuff but that's just me. I just want to play football! :-)

So with readying this it would be a fantasy league. I would do that. As for the Franchise I haven't paid my money to do that feature yet so it would be a no on Franchise.

How would we do that Draft it not set up like last year. Would I have to buy the Franchise to be in it.

If you bought the game, you should already have online franchise mode no? I did not have to pay anything extra to get Franchise mode. There is a code with your game that activates it.

I never did a draft last year so I can't compare but the draft functionality for 10 is pretty good. It's a live draft where people can either be on XBOX or on their PC to select their players. There is a pick timer and if a player is not picked in the allotted time, the CPU chooses a player for you. I think you can set up your preferred ranking in advance though in case you can't be online at the draft time. The draft order is selected at random by the CPU and it is a snake draft meaning round 1 goes 1 - 32, then round 2 goes 32 - 1 and so on.

I participated in a live draft the other day and we had a 15 second pick clock which was really challenging but fun.

I have already 8 committed owners for the league so we are 1/4 of the way there. Come on guys, jump in what has the makings of a very fun league - both Sgibs7 and Zfarls are in plus players of all different skill levels. Post your 360 Live GamerTags and I'll put you down.

I was wonder why don't we just start it and get season on going. We will get more as we go. Or you can try other places to get people.There a lobby of people just looking for a good league. Which will bring in more people to the message board.

I'm down for it... already said something to Farls and gibs about it.
