| Theres no such thing as a sleeper Shutdown corner. (IMO) DRC, Jonathan Joseph, Charles Woodson, & Champ Bailey. All the rest I wouldn't really classify as a shutdown corner. | |

| I don't think there is a such thing as a shutdown corner in madden. Based on the offensive play any corner can be burnt...aso/revis included. | |

| Seems like the Media will latch onto one each year and ride it. Bailey first, then Namdi, then Revis, They will probably pick another then see it reflected in Madden.
I know that it WILL NOT BE MARCUS TRUFANT

| In Madden this year, Charles Tillman is that perfect slowness to make you throw it when you think he's beat, but his intangibles (6'1'') are really deceptive and he'll pick quite a few off. Think Darrick Brown of Madden 11...cept he's actually solid IRL.
Proof: I have 13 INTs in 13 games in EAFL Majors with him.

| The best shut down corner in madden is Tracy Porter, he jumps a lot. Cromartie is my 2nd toughest. If you want a tough defense just use they Jets. You don't throw downfield much, so sanchez should be ok with you. he sucks throwing deep tho, SUCKS | |

| for some reason when i play with the raiders, chris johnson always have more picks than aso. i dont understand it, lol,
BTW try putting CJ as a FS and user him, fake blitzing is perfect for him because that 97 speed you can recover quickly deep.but check this out, i was reading on another forum and some guy said he used arenas as a shutdown corner and the thread was titled arenas island, so me being intrigued i checked it out, im saying to myself what is this guy talking about?theres no way arenas from kansas city is a shutdown CB, well, anyway he explained this unorthadox technique he used, what he said was he came out in a cover 3, before the snap he moved arenas down a little closer to the Fitzgerald, (he was playing against Arizona).when the ball was snapped, he slightly held down the left analog stick and according to him good ol larry ws jammed and couldnt move no where.he said he got 5 INTs using this ''technique''.he also said that if you try to manually press the receiver after the snap, then it wont work and you will get burned. ha anyone ever heard of this.the website i read this on was on madden-school.com.

| You can press WRs by pressing R1.
The reason he could just move the CB over Fitzgerald is because the CB was in a flat zone. [I'm guessing he was in 46/Nickel Strong/Nickel/Dime..]
You can just put a CB that's in a flat zone over a WR & he will press him.. [I believe the WR must be ON the LOS..]
It happens a lot vs. SB Bunch... If you have the "TE" [You can use All WR package to put a WR at TE.. your 4th WR.. who is my fastest..] on a flat route, or your RB on a flat route & they are playing cover 3, usually the flat will be wide open because if you play Cov 3, the CB / LB will be right over the WR on the LOS.. so he presses while your RB/WR/TE runs to the flat..

| I figure if you can put a corner on a man assignment than switch to him and stop or catch the ball 9 out of 10 times.... thats a shutdown corner.
& DRC has been my fav madden player on D for years now.

| DRC with his 90+ man cov 99 jump 98 speed and pretty good catching. Cro is another beast as well. Champ, Aso and Revis can get the job done most of the time as well. | |
