| What do you guys think of how tebow is playing so far. I never thought he would do this good this early in his career.
Thanks,

| Here's Warren Sapp on his first performance: He completed 8 of 16 passes, 4 of which were screens, the deep pass was terrible coverage, and the big run he had he botched handing off the ball.
Also his 2nd game was vs the 32nd Ranked Passing Defense in the NFL...
He hasn't done to bad though but for anyone to be wowed by his performance hasn't taken in all the facts.

| Ya i just expected him to play a lot worse early in his career. I think next year he will be the starter though, but you never know.
Thanks,

| I think it's funny how people are surprised by Tebow's performance, the man is NOT a scrub! Let's not forget all that he achieved prior to going to the NFL... Highschool:- back-to-back first-team 3A & 4A all-state quarterback
- earned 2006 Parade All-American honors
- owns Florida state prep football records for total offense (12,960), career passing yards (9,940), touchdowns (159) and completed passes (631)
College:- named to SEC All-Freshman Team, earned honorable mention Freshman All-America recognition, and earned Freshman All-SEC accolades
- named one of the "Break Out Players" of 2007
- has been named Walter Camp Foundation National Offensive Player of the Week once, Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice, added to the Manning Award Watch List, and is a Semifinalist for Davey O'Brien Award
- Heisman Trophy *Almost TWICE!
Now I'm not some huge Tebow fan boy (definitely FAR from it) but I must give credit where credit is due. I mean d@mn, how much more does the man have to prove to show everyone that he can play!? If any other player put up those kind of numbers or earned that many achievements in their career everyone would be talking about how great he's going to be. I was literally shocked when he fell as far as he did in the draft, and those teams that passed on him are stupid for it. Just because he doesn't follow the typical NFL quarterback prototype doesn't mean the man can't play. If you are an NFL scout you can't base a players' ability solely off their phenotype, skill set, and technique. You won't ever win you a championship with that philosophy. Where Tebow lacks in skill or technique he makes up for in leadership qualities, a high football IQ, and simply is just a motivated individual who has a great work ethic and the WILLINGNESS to learn! Those are qualities that you just can't teach. Forget what all those ESPN guru's who think they know everything (with their unbiased opinions that way they are never wrong). They may have played or know the game of football, but one thing they are not good at and that is identifying talent that's not clearly polished yet. * And if you still don't agree with me. Just look at what the Patriots are doing. Looking at each individual as a man and what they can bring to the table, not just a player and his stats like this is real life Madden. |

| Joe Webb is horrible. He can't complete many passes over 10 yards, like his accuracy is really bad, like really bad. | |

| give tebow some time..Im not a big fan of him, i kinda hate him ( gators beat my sooners in national championship game )
Tebow needs to work on accuracy and since he is a rookie, he needs time to learn the system fully.
Joe Webb is a short term solution I think..Yah he does have his moments where he shines in the spotlight but in the long run, the vikings will prolly draft another qb..Sorry but T jackson or webb are not the solutions for the qb problems.
I think farve actually retires after the season so im not counting on him coming back.

| I agree. Tebow has that fire and want and strives to be great. A lot of NFL players skate by on their college accomplishments (just collect their life's earnings for 2-3 seasons) after they are drafted. Tebow wants to actually be relevant. | |
