Madden 12 Worries

Is anyone else worried that speed will mean everything in Madden 12. In 11 I play with the Browns and I believe their the slowest team on the game and I can win but I pretty much just have to outscore my opponent rather than play good D.

Speed will absolutely mean a lot but everything? No it won't. You can still play good defense without have ridiculous speed. I didn't have much speed on defense when I played with the Titans and Saints so I just played smart and bend but dont break defense and it worked out good. That's all you can do with a team that doesn't have a geeked up defense, bend but don't break defense is the way to go.

the fact that zone defense has been improved means that slower Ds will be able to compete with faster teams

but i used tampa a majority of the m11 year, and i was still able to keep the raiders/cowboys/panthers in front of me (or under) however you look at it.

speed is always important...but the days of DHB killin Nnamdi are over if madden is anything like ncaa

i hope madden plays out like ncaa where players who lack speed aren't at a total disadvantage

I would say not to worry, yes speed helps but this is not your bethel johnson truing candidate domination game anymore.

Plus zones really are better
