To each his own, #s matter and this works great for me and is universal.. But yes, TE and FB goes into my count- however the C count makes the difference.


On man/zone unless im 100% committed to the run i play zone out of either 43 over plus (really sqeezes them inside) or 43 under.. When im all in my goto run d is 43 under free fire.. Bring the Will (left of screen) down over the DT.. Reblitz the other lb that is already blitzing in the inside hip of the right of screen DE (keep at lber depth)... Then take the defender assigned to the FB and hot to a spy and use him over the center at lber depth to shoot the gap

That's another thing in Madden that's a major misconception.

Will = Weak side linebacker
Sam = Strong side linebacker
Mike = Middle linebacker

The Will may be your ROLB on one play, and the LOLB on the next, depending of the personell packaging your opponent uses. In the NFL, teams have designated Will, Mike, and Sam backers. For instance, Lance Briggs on Chicago will always play the Will position, aligning himself on the backside of the formation. But in Madden, it's nearly impossible to replicate.

I know that although thru subs you can place them in the position they should be..

However in my reference (43 under) Will is on left of screen as the sam is on right of screen down on the los

I wish when the defense breaks the huddle you could press a button (or flick the r stick) and
you could designate the strong side and your players would move into where they need to be

LBs, DL. and maybe safeties if its possible

(been asking for this the past 3 yrs...still havent given up on this yet)

i love seeing genuine football knowledge on these forums. lets get away from calling zones certain colors (i.e. "yellow" or "purple" zones) and get back to football terminology.
