I used to run Pitt for awhile.
They have a snugs shotty with bench and mesh and a few good plays out of that.
Bunch Weak Shotty
- Corner strike, smart route B, then look to throw to him in the corner. Or hit the TE on the Flat
- Verticles, if playing someone with little stick look to hit the A route when he makes his break over the middle. He'll almost always be open, easy 15 yards everytime.
- Z spot, TE in the flats.
And in the majority of the plays out of this formation you can put the HB on a slant left, motion him to the left, and snap as soon as he sets.
- If only 3 down lineman and not many in the box, run the draw. Not bad in this formation. (For it being shotty)
Wildcat... Not very good anymore, and easy to shut down. But fun to run every once in awhile. Just when you're looking to have some fun.
A gun trips TE or something where there are 3 recievers to the left, 1 back, and a TE on the right. Good screen in this play, roll left and quick pass 2-3 seconds after snapped to the back, right of field should be abandoned because of the mass amount of weapons on left side. Put the two left recievers on a go route, and the closest reciever to your left on a slant out route, look to hit him if the screen is covered. Should have blocking ahead of him because of the go's.
A strong formation with a good FB dive that's run audible is the Power-O. Just motion the WR to behind the center for the FB dive, if covered then audible down to the Power-O. If man coverage audible to the quick audible left, and hit the FB in the flats after the PA.
Of course, GOAL LINE, qb sneak, Off tackle, Te corner, etc.
& Pitts 5 Wide which I believe has your best WR as the slot. Look for Pitt slant for a hard, quick pass to your best reciever against blitz with little stick skill by D. Ok screen out of this formation. QB draw if little in box.
