| You know, that is honestly hard to say bro. After I've stepped my game up, I really have the mentality that if I can't stop this dudes play, or if he can't stop mine, then wtf do I have to complain about.
Obviously, running the SAME play over and over can be considered cheese. There was the HB Direct Snap play everyone cried over and I can see why playing against it, sh!t was brutally annoying. But once you start getting decent at the game, you start wanting to stop everything, if a dude keeps tossing to the left or running a screen, you stop it and win, then it doesn't seem like cheese anymore.
I would say right now Madden doesn't have that much cheese, the glitches are pretty low. Really the only thing for me is the FG Block, that is cheesy.

| Cheese is anything you don't want to play against, even if it's failing miserably. Oh wow dude...Another screen? Really? 4th and 17 on your own 20 and you're going for it? Good call...You're seriously not getting out of goaline are you? Smart. I guess you're going to sprint straight backwards or to the sideline with your QB on every play huh? Alright...
Not to be confused with actual glitches or bug exploits. Pre-patch hb direct snap, pre-patch wildcat, removed kick off block, rolling to the opposite side of a hb screen, rocket catching, fg blocking, and of course any sort of pause or disconnect crap. Guy above said turbo blitzing, really more of a glitch.

| Using glitches over and over is cheesing. I played a guy yesterday and all he could do against me is FG block, over and over. He's one of those kids that does the same plays over and over trying to cheese, but I contained him to 1 TD and he blocked 4 XPs of mine lol.
I consider that cheesing.

| Any play that involves AP haha.. Nah screens arent hard to stop tosses can be annoying but i wouldnt consider them cheese.. The only thing is abusing the flats, because their is no 100% way to stop that.. Especially when Vince Young throws a DIME across his body 40 yards downfield haha | |

I seriously hope that stuff is addressed in Madden 11. Shouldn't happen, VY can't even throw 40 yards when he's set back with perfect protection rofl.

| I played a level 24 kid and had his HB Direct Snap locked up behind the LOS. No lie, Chester Taylor got a sick animation and ran through FOUR of my defenders at the same time. Not cheese but extremely unrealistic and once again it take away the fun of the game. All he had was HB DS/Screen, Snugs, and GL Off Tackle. I lost 31-28. Madden has become about the better cheese and AI manipulation, not the better scheme and player. Why do you think all the top players run GL Off Tackle, Snugs, etc. etc? I have no respect for those people and it completely takes the fun out of the game. | |

| The only things I dont like are Off tackle and flats....With the flats I just hate when they roll out every throw..... I dnt care if they do it every once in a while. I meen I got ok D for it but Its just gets on my nerve....And Offtackle as well I dnt care if they do it every once in a while but if its every run that pisses me off...
Really nothing is really cheese to me unless they do it all game long

| s0liddy, that response is the easy way out. Instead of saying "less crying, more adaption," why don't you give me some hints or tips on how to stop it? That's the point of the forums right? Everyone gets aggravated and vents and there is no need for those remarks. If I were able to adapt and stop it I wouldn't be venting now would I? | |

Quitting and giving up is the easy way out. There are tons of resources here for you to find what best suits you. Yeah everyone gets aggravated, but figuring out ways to get better is the key. Coming up with your own schemes and messing around with stuff is the best thing. There are a lot of free guides/plays between this website and a few others if you don't want to pay for anything. That's what I did and I developed my own stuff.

| I understand that and I have bought all 3 guides. I don't have the time between school, g/f and everything else in life to spend hours labbing these things so I was just asking for your help. I understand your side because your stuff is original and you don't want to give it away and I understand that. I play my first game of the PS3 tourney tonight so we will see what happens.... | |

I understand a busy schedule, I myself have a wife, kid and a career to tend too so I totally understand. What I did was comb the internet when I had some time, look at peoples opinions and tips and formulated my own stuff. There are free guides out there to help you get started, like I said that is what I did. Now you bought the MB guides and that is awesome, you're getting primo stuff, just practice with it and you'll get the hang. I would have no problem giving my schemes and plays out, some of what I have is stuff that people already do and some are things I made up myself to throw people off. Do you only play PS3? GL in the tourny.

| things that take advantage of major AI flaws in the game, such that they make the game less about utilizing good football concepts, but rather more about figuring out certain controller/stick movements or plays which exploit the system that would be easily shut down with real, football-intelligent players on the field. I normally don't mind these things if they can be countered relatively easily with good football concepts (nanos) or if they aren't high-probability gamebreakers (RC), but things that break the game like Off-tackle and the goal-line offense annoy me. | |

| i am getting tired of cats labelling everything that they can't stop as "cheese." stop complaining and whining about every little thing in this video game and man up and play ball! after while, just cutting on the XBOX console will be called "cheese." sheesh! smh!
now Stock....
do what works for you bruh! take what you can from all the advice and tips that are being shared and try to impliment something you like into your game. i have a very nice scheme that i developed out of the Baltimore pb. no one runs that book....but....i got the "concepts" of my gameplan from the TWIM shows and forum interaction with the "Brotherhood of Ballers" here at Madden Bible.
there is nothing like coming up with your own stuff....EVEN...if you buy a guide! Guides are great and if anything....they allow you to see things from a different perspective and therefore, you can actually add to and tweak the Guide to tailor-make it to fit what you actaully want to do. i took the "concepts" from Gibs and Z's breakdown of the Balanced pb and implimented them into my usage of the Run Balanced, Run Heavy and Baltimore pbs.
and while i greatly respect everyone's thought, views, takes, ideas and opinions about this game, plays, formations and schemes etc., i will always do what works best for Militant X 1 and my gameplay! you do the same!
