Jaguars v Steelers in 2011 Franchise...help!

Hey all,

I just joined an online franchise for Madden '11, and two teams available are Pitt and Jax.

On the surface, it looks like Pitt is the better choice, but here is why this is a tough decision.


My favorite team to use is Dallas, and the reason I like them is their balance on offense.

I love the Jones/Barber ..Rb/( Barber at FB) combo...with the breakaway back and the bruiser who doesn't fumble.

I see a lot of the same in Jones-Drew/ Greg Jones, only I think Jones-Drew/Jones is actually better.

I thought the difference between Garrard and Big Ben would be enough to make Pitt better, but here are the critical stats

While Big Ben is better, he is only 5 points more accurate, and his short/medium/deep are 85/82/76

Defensively there are no comparisons. The Steelers have ridiculous speed at LB. But, while Jacksonville has a relatively slow defense, they do have a ballhawking secondary and their FS Reggie Nelson.

I also feel Pittsburgh's overall rating is inflated by guys who are good real life players, but they don't translate as well to Madden ( Casey Hampton, Aaron Smith...and even Hines Ward).

Thoughts?

I would go with the steelers. Mendenhall is a good rb with 88 or 89 speed. Dwyer is a bruser and i think they still have logan at rb for speed.

yeah i would probably go with the steelers, even tho jags have some nice speed players
