INDY best passing book? Empty
PostSubject: INDY best passing book?   INDY best passing book? EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 12:24 pm

i was in the lab hard last night, and im almost convinced to switch from PITT to indy after some of the stuff i found. the passing attack in this book is redonkulous.... IMO it is very lacking in the run, maybe you guys can help out as the only "power run" forms in the book are 1 iform and goaline lol. you can certainly make it work by backing em up with the passing game and hitting em with the draw. but i like a lil more confidence in my run game than just a draw. do you guys have any good RUNS from this book??? also (wang could prob help on this) do any other books have GUN BUNCH TE, this is the formation that makes everything go in my indy scheme. and i just wanna see if another book has it with a lil better run game. i know PITT has the trio which is also great but i just love how GUN BUNCH TE is compressed= easy man/zone read when coming out thanks guys heres a TIP

come out GUN BUNCH TE-Curl flat corner (use vs zone read)
1) smart rte L1/LB
2) opt for more blocking hr TE/RB to block, i like to leave the RB on his flat route as a quick insurance
* we primarily will be flooding the zone on the left but always peak at you RB in the flat, this play has three wrs on the left that all pick and rub with each other (all cross each others rtes) you will read the left slot/right outside wr/then the mid wr on the smart routed corner. just make the right read watching the NB or OLB, if he comes up hit the curl, if he drops hit the out. you can hit the smart routed corner for a big gain if there are no PURPS
** X spot is similar to this concept and has a quicker flat rte but a much slower developing curl i like the ^^ better

IF YOU READ MAN
1)quick audible to your quick pass(MESH)
2)smart rte the left outside WR
3) Hit the inside slot WR in the flat quick(this rte cannot be bumped)
* if for some reason your 1st read is covered possibly by a user then your TE on the drag should be open in space if he has decent speed

THESE PLAYS WORK GREAT OFF EACH OTHER thow the draw from this formation in your audibles and you should have a nice lil scheme that can beat just about anything ,,,,,, for success in this hop in the lab and WORK ON YOUR READS. if you need help hit me up PSN: DRSHAKULU

ps make sure your left slot WR(closest to the LOS) is your fastest WR, the middle WR can go up and get it, and the left WR has good catching and decent speed
EX: SAINTS playcall curl flat corner []/X Meachem, L1/LB Colston, O/B Henderson........BE AWARE that if you quick audible to your MESH man beater the players passing icons for some reason will change. ENJOY!

My first post!

Indy is one of the playbooks I use...

Gun Bunch TE is fun to use because people don't play against it. You can do so much with it that makes your opponent over pursuit in one area and opens up the field somewhere else. I like putting the inside Wr on a streak if I find my opp over pursuing when I'm running Mesh. HB Draw and the occasional HB Screen can keep your opponent honest.

I also like SingleBack Dice/Deuce Slot... They have a nice Wr Screen. I like PA HB Look. I generally block the Rb, Motion the slot receiver and hike. Its got a nice quick throw to either the Right Wr or to the Slot and a nice delayed blue route in the TE. HB Draw is nice and the formations have crappy runs to the left and right to pick up a few yards.

Its also got Singleback Bunch which most people are def familiar with in other books.

Indy's Gun has pretty much everything you want besides Snugs.

Indy is def a passing book where runs only open up because of the passing game.
This book is one of my favorites because its got stuff that people simply don't see which gives you an advantage.
