If u take away a team's speed factor (like u ravens against raiders) then other attributes come into play. Route running, Cit, accel, blocking, block shedding, tackling, man cov, stuff like that.

To say the best teams are the top dawgs cause they have "speed" is pretty much biased. top 5 teams are the most complete all around teams.

ravens, cowboys, saints, eagles, jets/packers at the 5th spot

the panthers d line is not weak you just need a ravens type dline and great tackle with block shed lbs to run your run d, if you got away from that zone stretch you would be fine lol i cant use this run d with raiders when i run 4-6 speed.

I do like using teams with great d-lines. Giants, cardinals, ravens, colts....makes playin D easier

The bears should be a top 5 team. I dont think car is top 5 but they are a good team.

Why are the RAIDERS a top 10, 5, whatever team, then? They have Campbell and Gradkowski?! That's not a heck of a lot better than Clausen....and the Panthers D is BETTER than the Raiders...not the mention the LEGIT speed of the Panther's WR corps dwarves the equal speed of the Raiders...because Steve Smith is basically a more reliable Jacoby Ford, while everyone on Oakland is equal to their counterpart on the Panthers (Gettis=Murphy, LaFell=Schilens, etc...)

Plus I'll take DeAngelo/Stewart/Goodson > DMC/Bush/Bennett

i haven't really checked out panters players lately but speaking from the last time i checked i was turned off of them because of their WR height, Over throws happen a lot more because of lack of height.

lol I didn't include Jets. Only reason is because lack of CB depth after Cro/Revis.. then the LB core isn't the fastest.. they have the slow hard hitters but you definitely need a lot of speed..

Have you seen the Redskins? They got a whole lot better with the update.. Power and "Speed" back - Torain/Davis; 4 95+ spd wrs.. 2 96+ spd CBs.. Landry..

I'd say Wash > Jets for sure..

Jets WR core is good.. but I don't like that your best CIT WR is 83 spd and only 6'0";
Holmes is a speed WR.. Smith is basically a backup speed WR.. not the best, but can work with him..
Edwards is a beast WR.. 6'3", 91 spd, 87 CIT

The RB situation is kinda weird.. you got a "power" back with Greene.. He has 95 trucking.. usually the trucking RBs have high carry.. Well Greene has 72 carry.. Tomlinson 90 spd/92 acc; but Ugly Truck/Elu.. 80 truck, 74 elu.. bad; I'd go with Greene and McKnight probably McKnight - 91 spd, 94 acc; 88 elu but 66 carry.. Two great TEs..

I may need to re-evaluate them, but yeah; They are a solid team.. It's just their D doesn't fit the 46 speed package where you want 4 speedy CBs with good man cov;

LBs are just slow.. I can't get over that.. You only need one fast LB that covers RBs.. and I'm having trouble finding an 85+ spd LB..

LMAO...jets are way better...they have kyle wilson as 3rd CB with a respectable 89 speed. and Lowery after that. Jets CBs will pancake just bout any teams receivers so that will buy some time for the blitz...

the jets offense is better then the skins O...the skins Oline isnt anything close to the jets. the jets have a power back (green) balanced ( LT) and speed (mcknight) backs. the jets WR are way more dependable then the skins.. and have better Route running..and they do have speed. realistically you might need maybe 1 speedy receiver and jets have holmes.

the LB's are bout the same but skins have more speed tho. both are great at blockshedding and good hitpower. I dont worry bout safety cause I user the FS.

both dlines are great with some adjustments. Jets have more depth at LB then skins

There is a problem with each RB..
McKnight low carry, good speed
Tomlinson, high carry, good speed, no elu/truck
Greene, low carry, GREAT truck.. decent speed



WR cores are about equal.. I'd give it to the Redskins though because they have 4 speed WRs.. then Kelly 6'4" WR that you can jump over CBs with.. The Raiders WRs work very well despite high CIT..


Both teams are close to being identical though.. You do get a little extra having Landry with the Redskins.. I don't see a standout user player other than Cro on the Jets.






As for the OL.. The Redskins have 6 OL with 85 or more Run Block Strength.. The only stat that I found to work for the OL.. Including 90, 92, and 94 RBS..

The Jets have the same amount.. 6 OL with 85 or more RBS; Clearly the Jets OL is better but if you use the Redskins OL, you won't lose a lot..

Redskins: 89 89 90 94 92
------Jets: 89 91 94 96 95

I stack the right side since that's where most runs go.. and also I put my best RBS at RG; The RG is always going against the #1 DT on your opponents depth chart.. which is usually their best power move player [if they are smart.]; Having a RG with high RBS helps prevent Haynesworth or Rogers from swim moving right into the RB..

Gunfused that statement is a bit farfetched considering that Chad won a tournament earlier this year with the Bucs.

I just played a game with the Panthers and I'd have to say I definitely overlooked them. Earlier in the year this team had horrible wrs but now they have Gettis who is awesome and Clowney who is quick (however rides pine behind Goodson).

Clausen did have a lot of overthrows even on short routes. I'd be willing to bet it's because of his awareness. I'll probably give Matt Moore the start for the next game.

Also, I'm just curious who you guys use on the d-line, especially dt. My line (in-game) looks like this:

Anderson, Hardy, Johnson, Brown

Put the highest FMV/PMV at DT; then put your two other DLmen that have over 80 PMV/FMV at DE.. I think I may switch out Johnson and put him at DE.. I think Johnson is the one w/ 88 FMV/PMV and is really fast.. you want fast DEs but 65-75 spd can work with over 80 PMV/FMV;

lol I totally agree.. There are not many teams that are tournament usuable.. Especially if you play vs. the Raiders..
The Panthers are definitely a usable Madden team to me.. The thing that the Jets lack is a FAST + good ELU RB!
There are so many games that I've played in EAFL/C4 that were won just because the RB broke one tackle.. Elusiveness helps sooo much.. as with trucking;
Trucking isn't like it was last year.. It seemed like you could knock over someone with a nicely timed highlight stick..
What trucking really does is allow you to fall forward.. I LOVE those fall forward animations you get, but I think elusiveness is definitely more valuable..
Elusiveness = Break tackles = TDs
Trucking = Fall forward = 1st Downs

So elusiveness allows you to have a "home run" back..
Trucking allows your RB to fall forward.. basically trips and goes about 6 yds lol.. I love those animations..

The best RBs have high elu/trucking.. Like CJ; CJ has 88 elu [wtf? Jamaal Charles has 97 ;(] CJ also has 81 truck..
Also last time I checked, Steven Jackson had 95 trucking and 80 elu!!! I was like wow.. S-Jack has ONLY 8 less Elu than CJ?! wtf..


Jets LBs = Not good enough vs. tournament players.. especially vs. Raiders..


There are very few teams I would trust going against the Raiders.. I'd be tempted to pick the Raiders..
Raiders, Ravens, and Panthers are probably the best Ds.. Panthers have two CBs with 93~ or so speed with 88+ MCV.. That's unheard of.
