Madden Is Going Back (Unless Ya'll Talk Me Out Of It)

come on Zan you were sayin the same stuff in the beginning of the year then you came out with the get loose scheme, which was huge success with the with the madden community

just get in the lab bro you got mad skills it would be a waste to throw them away.

But anyway it was just your original post that made me laugh a little so i thought id have a little fun and give you a hard time about it. Hell ive gone back to nba 2k11 lately because of it. BUT, for me atleast, it hasnt gotten to the point where im going to just quit on the game. At least wait for the patch and see what happens. Also i never claimed to "know" you so slow your roll. For the time being i still love this game and if your not having a good time then maybe you should leave, but i hate to see anybody give up on madden. even if its a little broken.

there are things that i think need fixing b4 slant out "op effectiveness"

zones def need an upgrade

QB Spy's need to be like old times, and not get juked out no matter who the fkn qb is

then maybe the slant out problem

Lol if you think Madden got fked up this year, NBA 2k11 seems like it was made by a d@mn 10 year old. There is absolutely no defense when it comes to the paint, the game is just terrible. Yea, btw madden does piss me off sometimes and makes me stop playing it for a week or so.

The worst is when you play a ranked match and then the random lvl 2 or 3 just puts a guy on a slant and beats Aso and CJ. I don't know if this patch will do much because haven't they patched the past games they've made for the same issues.

Oh yeah one more thing. Superbowl XLV Eagles vs. Patriots.

I said that, because it's true, but you're begging for it on a totally different agenda....somehow you can use the Bucs and have them play way over their ceiling, send 2 freaking guys and get great heat, and have 9 in zone behind it. THAT'S why you want zones better lol....

That's another thing. This bullsh*t with user rushing anything other than a blitz route and the OL doesn't pick it up nearly as well....gotta patch that too...

lol this is not some bluff. what you see is what you get with me. ill be giving this patch a try...but i refuse to play some BS where any joe schmoe with half a brain can pick it up and compete...which is sadly the angle that cummings is going in...

Even being part of the EA Game Changers I still feel im entitled to my own opinion about Madden and heres what I have to say about the game.

1) Anyone going after the ball in the air still "Jet-packs" from 5 yards away and breaks away from defenders.

2) 95% of strip ball attempts end up being broken tackles (which I know stripping might cause a broken tackle but cmon, we all know it happens way too much)

3) Every player does the same catch animation when going up for a deep pass and PI on the defense never gets called

4) They better improve online franchise cuz its a joke. Why have it when everyone is starting more legit leagues (C4, GTR, etc)

5) Gus Johnson audio is put together terribly (calling FGs good when they hit the post, calling a franchise game online an "exhibition game")

Now they did improve on some things but like the first post was made by ZAN, i feel the game was being targeted for the newcomers to Madden and not the Hardcore. So they should work on that. The game is more fun than Madden 10, but needs strong improvement.

1. yellow zones don't react to the ball in the air
2. purple zones cover way too shallow
3. qb spies stand there dumbly
4. deep blues don't trade off effectively
5. a simple play like stick will literally make 4 defenders screw up their man assignments

about the ONLY thing that work this year is the flat zone. you know why? because there was ZERO flat coverage last year.

This year, I can't call man because 95% of the nation comes out in stick....so if I show blitz and back up man, then they call mesh, which is naked underneath for years...but i cant bring them down, because if i do, they'll just hot route a flanker to a slant out...where a bum like maurice stovall can burn darrelle revis/nnamdi asomugha/ike taylor...so im relegated to a zone coverage where the only guys who don't stand there with the IQ of a toothbrush are your DEFENSIVE LINEMEN...but WAIT...THEY CANT get a pass rush on their own (like the Giants, Colts, Bears, Vikings, etc...seem to do JUST FINE)...so your zone coverage (which already doesn't work with 7 or 8 in coverage, must get MORE holes in it! you must send 2 LBs plus your DL to get decent heat.....so then its back to streaks and slant outs....

this game is for the small brained this year. i dont think ive seen a single REAL route combination that actually works...like:

Hi-Lowing a Cover 2 corner

instead, people are hi-lowing a cover 3 because it exploits the flats, even though thats clearly intended for a cover 2. people are running fork concepts versus cover 3...which make ZERO sense...why is a game touted as realistic working where a cover 2 beater best beats a cover 3 and vice versa?

....and worst of all, ive seen people calling slant outs a SCHEME!???? WHAT!?

I felt the same way in 10. with all the OT bs and the flat abusers i just about lost it...I just stopped taking games seriusly and just quit any online game on the spot where i played ppl whos offense was only flats and OT.....

But imo if your that fed up with it that u cant find ANY fun left in madden mite as well take it back. At least u will get some money for it. also if u been playing the entire year madden slows down by mid january anyway so u arent really missing anything

I havent played enough to feel your pain. But this patch has let me down. Zone still suck. Stick is so d@mn unbelievable. Go get ncaa. The gameplay is much better. Just seems a bit slower gameplay and its ssssoooo much more to defend. But its so many capable teams and defense and offenses. Youll have fun. And online dynasty is better then anything

because you just have to, every year there's something that people take advantage of in madden, Off tackle, spec catch..
It's not ea's fault they can't stop all the sh!t that's out there, this year its stick people can run that play mixed in with hb draw all day. But those are just things we have to deal with to play the game we lovejavascript:emoticonp('')

The patch is out. Its brutal. They fix the glitching but make it difficult to audible and hot route.
You have to wait until the players set before you can hot route......
u used to be able to audible to a play then quick audible while they were still moving.....

i want zones to be better, b/c i hate having to be forced to play man coverage when 90% of peoples O is Man beaters b/c zone is pretty irrelevant... thats why i use tampa so much... b/c their zone ratings are moderatly high, and they seem to play well when in zone..

and my 2man rush are blitz routes... so idk what to say bout that

if zones were improved alot chad would be so hell on D. jus sayin
