If You're Afflicted By The Audible System...

I've switched offensive schemes over the patch. You definitely are going to enjoy having more plays from the same formation in your audibles.

In fact, I propose that everyone finds an good formation with a good inside run (preferably the run quick audible), a good outside run (which you come out in by default), a man bump beater (throw it in your audibles if it's not a quick audible), a good zone beater (also throw it in your audibles), and a regular man coverage beater.

It doesn't take that long. I found an exotic scheme in about 3 hours with a pencil and paper.

You want a scheme with zero tells in it that attacks the defense in a variety of ways, utilizing motion only about 1/4 of the time. [Mine] takes up three of my audibles, but that allows me to have 2 more audibles of different formations.

What I did there is examined the best formations in the playbook (defined to me as the formations that require the most user focus and attention, combined with having nice quick audibles) and labbed out how long it took for the players to move to their new positions and get set, and if the formations meshed well together....









or you can throw 30 slant outs a game....because THAT will REALLY carry over into next year and helps your football mind!

No...I'm done with that...I did my part with New England offense. Encouraged everyone to lab up SCHEME.

Even had a couple 1 hour lab sessions going step by step over the the offense with more than one person, only for them to relegate themselves to throwing 30 slant outs....

What I say to that....have fun....for now. You may win by throwing those...but what are you going to do with that lost time when slant outs disappear with the next edition of the game.

Flavors of the year come and go. Schematics do not. And I refuse to relegate myself to running nothing but slant outs. They have their time and place....don't get me wrong.

This scheme is for me. But I encourage everyone to follow the guidelines beset above.

I'll be playing Problem for LEX league within the next few days....I'll let everyone know if HE runs 30 slant outs. I bet we all know the answer to that.

Zan i ve been tinkering with stuff all day. Trying to figure out what plays to put in, sets to take out, and how to mesh them all together. I've never been a player who stayed in one set the whole game. I even thought about changing books.

my audibles have always been about formations rather than specific plays....i can hot route guys to get them to do what i want ..just need to get them in the right formation

I wish they took out slant outs, but at leat the zones react faster.This is madden 11, people think its a copycat game.I agree a bit but EA dumbed down the playbooks and thats whats killing Madden 11. They need more plays on offense!!! period. Whats funny is i ran New Orleans PB all last yr. Singleback to strong close to 2 back shotty now people add a slant out and a hb draw and Im the one that JOCKS a PB. I cant even run that anymore.End rant but EA is making it tough with these BS Playbooks.

Next year there will just be something else to abuse. It happens every year lol.

lol I can imagine whats next. What were the gimmicks abused in previous maddens (from 09 back since I never got into madden until '10. I know offtackle was '10.)

08 - DE Contain Defense (any 3 DL DE contain play, pinch and crash the DL down, both DEs come in untouched...it killed undercenter for the entire year.
08 - Automatic SPC/Left Trigger Rocket (With any player with the spec catch icon, put them on streaks, let them run 15 yards downfield and throw a bullet pass lead up. The WR would jump so his waist was AT LEAST 10 feet in the air and come down with it. Or, any tall WR, throw low and behind the WR click on hold LT and Y, and the player would strafe up and RC the ball)

09- FB Dive (the handoff was GLITCHY fast and the run was overeffective...5-6 a pop)
09- RC Curls (come of Shotgun Normal FL Screen, put left flanker, left slot, and TE on curls, snap sprint back 10 yards and either throw the flanker screen or a high pass lead curl. To rocket the curl, click on hold down + Y and the player would RC through traffic like a knife through butter. It was 80 percent effective)

10- Offtackle (outside zone blocking was very effective)
10- R-stick RC. Required little skill. Throw down and behind player, and then push down on the R stick to get the player to turn around and automatically jump up for the ball)

This year is QB spy blitzing and slant outs.

Zan that is the same thing I have been preaching forever. Everybody takes the easy way out, and then stinks for the first month or two on the next game because the AI exploits are different and not known yet.

I recommend checking out the I-Form Close that Gibs breaks down in the RECOMMENDED Philadelphia offense Mad Den TV. While it's ideal for Vick, it's great with just about any team, to be honest.

I do this for a playbook about every day it seems like. I enjoy that part of it...hell ive switched playbooks twice today already and I havnt even turned on my PS3....ive just been looking thew the pb's while im in class on youtube.

the path worked good cause I like to bring pressure with zone, this fools keep throwing to vontae davis since I leave him in man with the reciever thats #1 lol

I need to take your advice. My offense is just horrible and I never use slant outs. It just stinks. Good players in c4 ps3 are eating me up.
