The death of a system

My xbox finally died last night. Ive had it for 5 years. I am broke right now so getting a new system is a definitive choice. When I get one their is no getting another one. I have known my xbox was going to die so I have been wondering for awhile now. Xbox or PS3. What do you guys think?

i have both, and not to start a xbox vs ps3 war, but i like Xbox on all games that are on both systems, i.e. madden, COD, so forth

i only like ps3 for blu ray player, and the ps3 exclusive games they have

most multi-platform games are made for Xbox then ported to ps3

It's a tough call man.

I like the 360 controller better. My fingers slip less and it's a little more comfortable.

PS3 is nice to have for a blue ray, and the fact that you don't have to pay for a Live subscription is really nice too.

Gibs says there's a big difference in lag between Xbox and PS3 with the 360 being better, but I can't speak to that personally.

Have you tried any of the fixes? I had mine break a little while back and looked up some fixes for it on youtube, and did that and got it to work again.

unlike the other guy i buy all my major titles on ps3..its a media hub and not to be cheap but like the commercial says it does everything..games movies internet browsing ..yea there are more ppl with xboxes but thats ok the ps3 community is fine

u already have games for the 360 so get that

if u buy a "3" u need to buy madden again and any other games u indulge in

A 360 is cheaper to get than a "3"..u can get one from gamestop for like $120 and im sure u can find one on ebay for like $80 or so...

the next gen consoles are right around the corner (1-3 yrz away) so i wouldnt invest too much cash into buying a system this late in the game

u could try to fix it temeraraly with a towel or the penny trick and that should buy u a few months...also u could try to open the system up and fix it yourself. Last yr I saw my dude fix like 10 of em lol.

New xbox is sussposed to be coming out in 2013 i heard. So ya right around the corner.

xbox 720 or something like that.

from what i know talking about all the games..........
ps3 has fram rate lag(only runs on 30frames per sec on madden)
if your connection is amazing it is usally pretty bad.
the only thing that it has is free online acsess and blu ray(which really has nothing to do with online play)
and you could just get HDMI cables and play/watch things on xbox in 1080p

Aight People I'm getting a PS3. A friend of mine is selling his to me for $50 and my copy of Madden 12 and NCAA12. Even If I wanted an Xbox I couldn't get it. Its still gonna be some time before I can get it though.

No doubt about it. I'm in between jobs at the moment do the cheaper the better. I have only played PS3 once and that was for COD so this will be new. But I grew up on PlayStation so I'm pretty sure I can get it done.

that sir is untrue..both games can run from 30-60 fps depending on whats going on while the 360 version does look sharper there is no lag which u speak off

^^^ i was a ps3 guy until the psn network went out, then i bought a 360 and noticed a considerable difference playing madden and COD on 360, its worth the live subscription for alot less lag and smoother gameplay online imo ....now the ps3 exclusive titles are boss on ps3

but any game made for both systems the ones i have played i saw a better game on the 360 version

because they build the game on 360 and port it over to ps3

ive got a graveyard of next gen consoles at my house.. since 2005 ive had 5 different xbox's and 2 ps3's but im still on my first wii... go figure... i do agree with most everyone else though about the slightly better quality of the games and much better network to play games with on the 360.. if only 360 and P3 were made with the quality control that nintendo wii's are.. ive never heard of a broken wii.. the next gen nintendo will be the system to get as long as the fps and sports games are the same..

SMH...have you tried a WII game? They aren't exactly pushing the limits of their console..lol I say go Xbox as far as online experience you get what you pay for....

Im waiting most likely till 2013 for xbox 720 is going to be released.
