If jets get the ball1st then they can choose to play 4 down ball if they like

well I almost lost a game online .. was in ot I got the ball 1st drove downto about the 15 and kicked a fg on 2nd down I'm thinkin game over.. but then I see the kickoff screen I'm like wtf .. caught a pick and sealed it though

it is interesting to think about though, I would love to see it come into play this weekend because depending on what happens, it is something to talk about and then potentially modify, tweak, or fix.

I love the way that a guy on mike and mike in the morning discribed the rule. The first one to 5 wins. Think about it like a game of basketball , if its 1st one to 5 then I really want the ball 1st. lol

it's really not first one to five though. If you return the opening kickoff for a touchdown that thats it. If you receive and score a touchdown, you win.

All the rule does is eliminate teams from driving down to the other teams 25, kneeing to the center of the field, and taking the easy 3.

I personally think that they should do either a college style overtime, starting at the 25, and in each overtime move the ball back 5 yards, maximum distance away being the 50.

That, or just play another full 15 minutes and give each team two timeouts. Why not just play another non-sudden death period?

its the 1st to 5 because if u score the opening td us have 7 pts (u have to go past 5 to get to seven),

if u kick a fg and the other team scores a td they won the race to 5,

if you score a fg, and the other team scores a fg, then u score a fg then you have scored 6

the only time it doesnt fit is if you get the ball first and you dont score at all the other team can just kick a fg..
