Please Help Xbox Troubleshooting

ok i go on xbox today and try to send messages both text and voice also i try to send party invites but it wont let me send them. i called the xbox live and they said recover the gamer tag on someone elses xbox and then try sending the studff to isolate the problem so im going to do that but they also told me to check the system and family settings and messenger but all of that was fine. Did this ever happen to anybody or do u guys know how to fix this. I would really apreciate help!!!
