| After hearing Ian Cummings on last nights show have your thoughts on the direction of Madden 12 changed? Do you have more/less faith in the Franchise after hearing what Ian had to say?
Personally Im glad he took the time to talk to us about his story of becoming part of EA and what his views are on some of the community feedback. People really misunderstand his thoughts and views on the franchise and every time he talks in person he opens up a few eyes.
So thanks guys for having him on the show!

| I'm gonna go on record (with the blatantly honest truth) as always...
I was disheartened by a vast majority of what Ian said.
"I was amazed at the amount of steps to all the play setups you guys have." ^ Really?! Now I know for a fact that the right guys aren't testing the product before it hits the shelves...SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND GET ESTABLISHED TOURNAMENT PLAYERS IN TO BETATEST...I bet a tournament beta-tester would have found slant outs in about 2 minutes (if you don't start off labbing by putting every WR in the game on every hot route from every slot, you aren't labbing correctly) and Ian & Co. have time to fix how the locomotion kills the DBs before release...
- and before someone jumps on me for this....think about it this way. If Ian is "amazed" by the amount of steps in our setups...HOW THE HECK can he not see how poor the game plays if he's running plays stock or with few setups? I mean, if he's running plays as-is, how can he NOT notice DBs running an in route before the WR runs the in route? How can he not notice how poorly the switching is (you can see it when you run automotion, even).
"Madden is a really sophisticated/intricate game." ^ Yet you say you call this the simplest Madden at the same time?
I don't want to rant....But if Madden wants to go in the right direction, it's not about grass textures, hand warmers, and rally towels....It's about making gameplay reflect the NFL...
I love madden. I just hate to see it go this way....This isn't about whether or not I can defend against poor switches and slant outs (I can, to a great extent)...it's about the small things that keep making this game worse (madden sold less copies than last year on release, am i not correct?) and how seemingly obvious they are....

| I was glad to have him come on and introduce himself to our community. I think as the game development comes along for Madden 12, we will hopefully get more information and be able to round up questions from the community to ask.
As long as people voice there opinion and back it up rather than just saying madden sucks we will hopefully get more time to chat with EA.
I think overall nearly every EA game was down in sales. Madden however was still the number 2 game sale of the year behind only black ops, so I think they will make it through. Plus with all the dlc and micro transactions, they will be making their money.
(Tiger will be back up this year by adding the masters, hopefully Madden will have an ace up the sleeve. FNR4 was down from 3, but champion looks like a winner)

| I think madden is going in the right direction. As a beginner last year off tackle was terrible. This year people cant line up and run the same play. Im sure he is aware but franchise games will never match rank. You cant have 20 people play the games every hour. You can only advance every 1 or 2 days so people can get their games in. I play rank to fill in time between franchise games. I would like to see practice mode made where you can play with one controller for defense. | |

| First off thanks to Ian for coming on the show and addressing the MB nation and other madden ballers. I guess he could hide do his job and go on with life but kudos for Ian sticking his neck out and making himself available.
I'm in 100% agreement with ZAN GET THE BEST PLAYERS TO BETA TEST TO WORK OUT ALL THE "KINKS". As a community we were very critical of the SPY blitz yet it was a great Madden player that discovered the "glitch". If you had "great" players in beta test this "glitch" would have never made it into the final production.

| As much as I am against "tournament style football" those are the players that need to beta test Madden because those are the things that the guys at Operation sports or whoever goes early to play the game can't find. The reason Madden continues to have the same issues is because they are sending the sale people down there to critique the game! Wish I could go and put in my 2 cents hahahaha | |

| they have sent tourney players in the past. I think chow and rg was working with them for M11 (if im not mistaken)....but they need to have the game in their hands like true game testers do. | |

| I think a very important thing to realize about having Ian coming on the show is that it proves hes listening and that he cares about all Madden gamers.
Think about it - he took the time out of two consecutive Thursday nights to watch out show and then took the time to call in. That shows he cares.
Its also important to realize that you we can all speak the truth but lets not be assholes in the process. I think a lot of other communities in the past think its ok to voice there opinion and think they can just talk down to him by telling him hes this and that.
Lets keep things civil. Voice your opinion but be respectful. No more of the bullshit talk that this person sucks and they dont know anything. Because at the end of hte day they are a multi-million dollar company - so whose the one that doesnt know anything.
