SB formations in the 5 Formations for Success

hey Z and Gibs.....

as i re-read your wonderful article on the "5 Formations for Success," i notice that you mostly mentioned Gun formations. what about the Singleback (SB) formations? can those also be utilized in this line of thought?

Singleback formations have confused me this year. I have found that they are very similar to gun plays and they have alot of the same exact plays and can formation shift with certain audibles. They just really have to be played around with

Yeah, but against top players with A gap heat they are useless. You can't get the ball out fast enough with auto drop back. Thats why we liked detroit as allowed us quicker control for our scheme. We stay out of singleback but I know what you mean with the plays being very similar just in the gun or under center.

so the "5 Formations for Success" exlude the Singleback's?
