| Online players don't typically adapt well.
They might have a good offense but tend to have zero defense

They might have a good offense but tend to have zero defense I've been a pool tourney player for 10yrs now, this is usually the case in any kind of tournament that has an O and a D. I can't remember how many cats I would shut down with a simple safety and it would get in their psyche. The majority of those guys were all offense also, I only lose in pool tourneys to players with lockdown defense......this is where I want to get in Madden.

| I personally think its the result of how most tip sites simply provide a tip with no explanation and no detailed breakdown.
The result... Virtually no original offense or defense and a bunch of dependent thinkers
Most my games are close for the first quarter...second quarter I build a lead...third quarter the game is already over...the 4th quarter I toy with them.
That's why every madden bible is. Different...we give you the best tips and plays, yes. However we also teach you concepts. Ie contain and spy combo on D to manipulate the offensive line

| i agree! most cats (whether online or tournie players i would suspect) run the same old watered down offense and defenses. receiving tips is one thing but the ability to "think" for yourself (lab) on how and why a play works is key! i love receiving the tips from MB or other sites and then "tweaking" them to fit my style of play.
this is one reason why i love to run different playbooks. seems like everyone (from other sites) is starting to jump on that Balanced pb ever since i have seen Zfarls and SGibs run it here on thre TWIM and at the MLG Orlando. i have been on a few different sites as of late and noticed most people talking about that Post Corner play. smh... unbelievable! lol!

| Sgibs Level 10 ranks n/a
Vs
GOM Madden King level 25 rank 2200-ish
This game was tweated to me via GOM's "friend". He said his buddy needed to be sent back to Earth because he finished ranked number 1 in the online Gillete sponsored tournament. Little did he know I TOO participated in this event. I finished 20-0 and finished outside the top 10 ( to qualify for the event).
Our first attempt to connect failed...resulting in a dc loss for me...sigh. We then locked up. He LOVED pounding the rock, unfortunetly all that pounding only left him stuck between that very rock and a very hard place. That hard place was my goaline defense. His steelers were able to rush 32 times for a robust 177 yards but his air attack crashed and burned as Big Ben was a lack luster 5-16 with 3ints. I'm pretty sure he ran 3 plays all game...HB power o...goalie off tackle...and some sub par shotgun play.
The game ended 48-30, good guys. I went on the mic to give some pointers...his response was the typical one you tend to get online. Unfortunately for him I know that sooner rather then later he will be a avid member of the MB community.
The march is on. | |

| I am now 31-4 and a level 13.
I decided to bust out a NE scheme I have been working on for sometime now. It is primarily a quick read/deep pass offense. I used mike vick and tje eagles for this scheme. I knew going into the games that my defense would need to be on point because I was running a O that I wasent 100% confident in yet. However I was still able to post three big time scores in three blowout victories against ranked competition.
The march continues. | |
