I hear the term a gazillion times. I know in theory what it is but I don't know how to effectively lab. Would it be possible to have a step by step show on how to lab effectively. I mean do you run the same play over and over against different defenses. Is there something you look for specifically and how do people end up finding the annoying glitches so fast?

Labbing's a fancy word for practice. For labbing O, go to practice mode with 2 controllers, set the Raiders up on D. Run your offensive plays against different coverages and heat/F@G D. Then use random play. Practice your protection schemes, reads, etc.

It's the same with D, although after practicing the setups I've found it more beneficial to play a friend or and unranked game.

I hope this helps.

I find labbing with someone else to be way more beneficial. The most important thing you want to do before going into the lab is to have a goal. You want to know what it is you are trying to achieve and then find the plays or setups that help you achieve it. For example you notice you are having trouble running the ball against a certain formation you can hop in the lab, have your friend play the D that is shutting you down and the tinker with different formations, plays, or even the personnel that is on the field that give you the best results.

If you go into the lab session without a goal in mind it can quickly turn into a pointless unranked game where neither of you learn anything new or get any better.

Hope that helps buddy

I'd say just play someone online using a new gamertag from trial membership. Objective is to try as many concepts/ plays in different situations. Nothing can replace in game scenarios.

Thanks XxSHOWTIMExX and blood9585, those are both great points. I played on all madden against the cpu last night...I am totally needing work LOL. CPU running back broke like 8 and 9 tackles and I could not get anything going on offense. How the heck can the cpu bust 8 and 9 tackles every run play...sheesh!
