JUMP CATCHING

I have been playing a guy for a couple of days. i play him tight but when he needs a play he throws the ball high on a slant or square in and his guy jumps up and catches it. I know he's not rocket catching because i heard him say he threw it wrong and i swatted the ball out of the air. Oh yea how do you also stop the animation catch in the end zone. Need help Please
