World Cup Soccer

Anyone getting pumped for soccer in south africa in 100 days?

This is something that comes around every 4 years and gets me pumped up, alot better than the olympics IMO (besides hockey)

It's the most important tournament of the world's most important sport.

But it's soccer tho =/

The World Cup is my second favorite sporting event behind March Madness BB. The passion behind it (not in this country of course) is completely unmatched by anything else in the world. While I'll admit that soccer is generally boring to watch, I'd personally take a World Cup quarterfinal match over an NFL playoff game. I'm sure this thread will turn into a soccer-bashing fest which is fine, but if you're a soccer fan, it doesn't get much better than the World Cup.

i lived in Europe for nearly 11 years. their passion for what they call "Football" (soccer to us) is out of this world! they take it very seriously!

i never really liked soccer until the last world cup. i remember i watched germany play i think spain and it was 0-0 until the last few seconds and germany scored. haha i was all pumped up and im not even german.

It is the most popular sport in the world. Mili- their passion is unmatched by anyone for any sport. People in this country need to learn about this sport. Americans are always putting it down and they know nothing of the passion or history of the sport or even how the game is supposed to be played.

It is a fantastic sport. I support Italy and the US
