| Maddenwise for the quick attack it would be CJ, flex, sporiles,ap, bush all have spd,elu agi, spin, cth
My real top five I would use in maddemwould be cj,rbrown, dwill,m turner, westbrook
1.they all have great CAR 2.each one has spd 3.all agi 4.great bcv which goes hand and with their good awr so they dont do stupid things like low rated players 5.and decent cth

| 1. CJ 2. AP 3. D. Williams 4. Frank Gore 5. MJD 6. Ray Rice
Top 6 when you get down to the nuts and bolts. Sure I would rather have reggie bush or jamal charles than some of these guys on screen plays/tosses but in the grand scheme of things these guys are easily your best overall RB's.

| 1. Chris Johnson 2. Maurice Jones-Drew 3. Adrian Peterson 4. Frank Gore 5. Ronnie Brown 6. Felix Jones
These are my top 5. Chris Johnson #1 obviously for his speed. MJD's small size actually plays to his advantage in madden because he is so difficult to tackle. AP breaks tackles and can actually get away from other pursuit with his speed. If you break tackles with someone like Jacobs another defender still catches you. #4,5,6 are just great all around backs. Enough speed to outrun the defense, able to run through arm tackles, and catch the ball out of the backfield. I know gibs and farls will have sproles up here, but I just don't think he's top 5. I don't think Jamal Charles and DeAngelo Williams make the list because the chiefs and panthers have too many holes at other positions to be madden relevant so who cares about the RB. Steven Jackson is too slow, Reggie bush and DMC fumble too much, westbrook can't break tackles, jacobs is too slow.

| I don't know how important the catch rating is because Felix Jones's catch is under a 60 and he catches a lot of balls... | |

| Catch rating doesn't matter.. unless you are in practice mode, you know what I mean..
CIT is for when they are getting tackled.. Felix won't make the catch.. but just do flat routes.. and hope he breaks a tackle.

| Chris Johnson AP (with the fumbles and all) Frank Gore/MJD (take your pick...essentially the same) McFadden/Jones (take your pick...essentially the same)
Important ratings are Speed, Elusiveness, Acceleration, Carry, and Catch

lol Rams.. If only block rating mattered for a RB. I can plug any RB in and they'll block for me fine.. they may get run over once or twice by a player like Dumervil/Ware but they hold blocks as long as "good" block rated RBs do =/ i never said only blocking matters but these are the things that make ronnie brown good. and you dont understand the importance of route running obviously lol Importance of route running? There is none... if you ever noticed.. whatever route you call.. is ran. They don't mess up the routes. There's no effect in route running.. just like awareness, blocking ratings for RBs/OL do not work.. I thought you of all people.. one of the tournament players would know that route running has no effect. If so, Wes Welker would be incredible in Madden, but he isn't. He's a short slow possession receiver. Not a Madden receiver.. more like an NFL receiver. There's a difference =[ I wish route running mattered, but it doesn't. If it does, provide me proof please. Also, about Brown.. if blocking doesn't matter, why does it make him good? I love Brown in the NFL, and I'd say he's d@mn good in Madden too, but I like others over him, just because speed is a huge factor.

| C Johnson AP MJD Bush McFadden
EA needs to seriously hook my boy Ray Rice up with some more speed and a better CAR rating cause he has too many random fumbles!

I love Brown in the NFL, and I'd say he's d@mn good in Madden too, but I like others over him, just because speed is a huge factor. please excuse the caps no disrespect but i really need you all to hear me out. THIS WHOLE THREAD KICKED OFF BECAUSE ZFARLS SAID IN HIS OPINION THAT RONNIE BROWN DOESNT PLAY LIKE A 93 OVR AND I WHO LOVE LT AM EXPLAINING THE GUYS WITH A HIGHER OVERALL THAN WHAT THERE SPEED IS AGAINST AGAINST THE NOT HIGH OVERALLS THAT ARE REGARDED TO BE BETTER. NOW FIRST THINGS FIRST IS NOT EVERY ONE USE EVERY ROUTE SO SOME OF US DONT KNOW HOW THE ROUTE RUNNING STAT AND BLOCKING FOR RUNNING BACKS INTRICATELY AFFECT THE GAME. I USE DELAYED BLUE ROUTES ON 4/5 CORE PLAYS. NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID I PLAY WITH THE CHARGERS. WHEN I KEEP SPROLES IN TO RUN DELAYED BLUE OR KEEP HIM IN TO BLOCK ALOT OF TIMES HE GET KNOCKED DOWN MISSES THE BLOCK OR IF HE'S SUPPOSED TO BLOCK THEN RELEASE HE RELEASES LATE IF AT ALL AND SOMETIMES DOESNT GO THE RIGHT WAY. HE MAY SUPPOSED TO GO OUT TO FLAT BUT INSTEAD GOES UP IN TO TRAFFIC IN THE MIDDLE. SO NOW IF I WANTED TO THROW TO HIM HE HAS MESSED UP THE WHOLE PLAY. LT ON THE OTHER HAND NEVER MISSES THE BLOCK, RELEASES ON TIME, AND GOES THE RIGHT WAY EVERY TIME. ALSO LT RARELY FUMBLES SO IF YOU ASKED ME WHO IS BETTER? SPROLES OR LT? I WOULD TELL I HAVE NO IDEA. LIKE I SAID BEFORE I USE SPROLES FOR WHAT I THINK ARE TD POTENTIAL PLAYS AND LT ON MOVE THE CHAINS FIRST DOWN TYPE PLAYS. SO ONCE AGAIN IF U DONT USE DELAYED BLUE ROUTES FROM UNDERCENTER THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RELATE TO ANYTHING I AM SAYING. THANK U TO ANYONE WHO REALLY ANALYZED THIS POST AND DIDNT JUST BLOW IT OFF. AND ONCE AGAIN NOT YELLING JUST REALL WANTED U TO REALLY FOCUS. I RUN RUN HEAVY PLAYBOOK BY THE WAY SO MAYBE THAT GIVES YOU A BETTER IDEA OF Y I PLAY SO MUCH UNDER CENTER AND A LITTLE INSIGHT TO MY MADDEN PHILOSOPHIES

I'm not sure what you mean by that lol. I just said that every player runs the same routes.. if a player isn't bumped, they will run the route exactly the same as the next player.. if they are bumped, they usually mess up their route.. no matter the rating. It seems like it's a rather useless stat to have if it would only work for blue routes. Those situations you were talking about have to do with them getting re-routed. They get pushed slightly.. say like on a man coverage play.. and corner bumps into a wr unintentionally, and they get re-routed. That happens all the time. I wish it didn't, but it does =/ Even if you have a high route running rating, it still effects you. I put my RB on a drag, and a blitzer ran into him, and it re-routed him to basically a streak. Usually when the RB stays into block and he gets beat, he'll just try to get the blitzer. They stay in longer probably just to help you, but it really doesn't help you. =/ Like I was saying, I'm going to doubt that the RTE rating is just for blue routes, I believe it doesn't even really work =/ but that's my opinion and you don't have to believe it. I'm just stating my opinion
