How do you do pause glitch

i got pause glitched 5 times, i wanna know how you do it, and maybe i can find a way to counter.

the pause glitch is where you freeze the opponents screen and the only way to get out is if you dashboard no one recieves win or loss

Ahahah so I can find a counter to it lol you just want to be able to do it when your losing your lame for that
