Other formations out of 46 Speed

Hi, I was wondering if it's still effective to run a Nickel Strong or Dime Flat formation out of a 46 speed package Depth Chart.

I use the cowboys and raiders alot, but I also like some plays out of Nickel Strong and Dime/Flat

I'm kinda confused..


Are you asking if it would be effective to use Nickel Strong/Dime Flat if you have your depth chart set up for the 46 speed package? If this is what you are asking, then yes. 46 Speed package uses Dime personnel.. You have 4 DL, 1 LB, 6 DB. For Nickel Strong, I believe that the left MLB is your LOLB.. I'm not for sure.. but if your left MLB is just MLB #2, then you should be good..

I set my LB core up like this:

MLB1: Fastest LB (Thomas Howard)
MLB2: Next best LB (Rolando McClain)
ROLB: McClain
LOLB: Sam Williams I think..

I've just recently switched over to the Raiders and running the 4-6 so I'm not that familiar with them. I usually run with the Cowboys

Does anyone have some decent 46 speed package deptch charts?

Raiders 46 speed package:

DEs: Groves,Wimbley
DTs: Seymour,Scott [Kelly or Henderson can replace Scott for run stops.]

MLB: Thomas Howard
Backup MLB: McClain



CB1: Nnamdi
CB2: Chris Johnson
CB3: Stanford Routt

Now this is where it is tough.. at CB4 you can put Mitchell, Huff, or Branch.. Possibly put Mitchell there so he's in the game.. CB4 will cover TEs.. Mitchell has enough speed/height to cover any TE.. Lets say we have Mitchell at CB4..

CB4: Mitchell
CB5: McFadden

FS: Huff
SS: Branch

Ware can be your backup at both safety spots..



Something that gibs likes to do is this:

CB1: Asomugha
CB2: Chris Johnson
CB3: Huff
CB4: Routt
CB5: McFadden

MLB: Howard

DE: Groves, Wimbley
DT: Seymor, Scott

FS: Ware -[Sub in Mitchell in running situations]
SS: Branch [McFadden as backup]



I like the way gibs has it set up but I'm a little sad that Mitchell will only be in for run situations.. I just love his hit power.. I will probably do a setup that is close to gibs.
