Why we aren't peddling C4, which is hands down the most competitive league out there (along with LEX, in my opinion)? All I've seen, league-wise...is this MRL and Football Outsiders stuff. Frankly, I don't know anyone in these leagues besides Gibs/Farls...and that's doesn't really speak volumes to the competition for the league as a whole...
I think the ultimate test for the MB product is to get both hosts BACK into the C4, rather than these (IMO) subordinate leagues and for them to get more looks, use of other teams than the Raiders. It can only help the MB product...if MB is truly "for real" about becoming the best.
I'm going to be brutally honest, here. Being 14-0 in a league that's just only slightly more (competition-wise) than a glorified ranked game doesn't do much for me. That game vs. that Outsiders guy was like beating up on the poor and defenseless.
Cliff's Notes: GET INTO C4. It will improve your product against better competition. I mean, the guy from Football Outsiders was cool, but he was choosing stock setups in that whooping Farls gave him. No wonder he's 14-0 with Seattle (if it's Outsiders...)
As far as the Raiders go. They serve their purpose...If you're seeing a speed team, match them with Oakland. I'll never take Oakland first, though. agree 110%! i am sure c4 gives some guys who think they're good at madden a huge reality check. as for me, it gives me a swift kick to the nuts on a game in, game out basis. in the end, competition is tits above the rest and you meet some great players along the way.

| K0ach K and the C4 league are the league of choice for 360 Gamers from Maddenbible, we fully encourage him to post/recruit here. (links at top of page and forum topics everywhere) I play in the FO league for many reasons, competition isn't the main reason. One reason I really like MRL is Nitka's energy, use of twitter, activity of members and his little weekly recap show. Is it great? in its own way YES!
Zan, cant believe your unsure whether MB is "for real"
I wont get into my time, money and energy spent in building and making this site a great resource for madden players. I won't question SGibs commitment either, but I think its well documented. If you feel otherwise feel free to PM me, would like to know what we can do better, thanks.

yah its a copy league, but....to put into perspective, its people that use the best of the best....madden is limited to a point, so there isnt gonna be much orignality as we all want it to be... I swear all I see against defenses....contain d or inside blitz....when I come into a power run set, they set HH run d...its really sad honestly, when I consistently beat those defenses, they dont know to switch it up...smh.... so far my only lost came to a guy who actually mixed it up...end up throwing 3 picks which is really uncharacteristic of me.. hope to play him again in playoffs....idk I just hope to make it to the playoffs...lmao

| I liked the HH run D, havent used it but it looked solid in the MRL superbowl game. Will have to add it due to my run D being weak to the left in the 4-6. | |

I beat Oakland and the Eagles tonight with the Rams and it felt great. I'm not a great player but always trying to improve. Thanks to YngClassic for shedding light on the "raiders" deli ma.

I was 14-2 with the Bears in C4 majors Lost in the NFC chip. missed the game winning FG bc of lag missed a extra point bc of lag. juego apologized. confused.

| MRL is a great league with great competition.
It is run by great owners and the enthusiasm with in the league is AMAZING.
I play in that league to support what they are doing. As they have the same goals as we have here.
Nitka and Goldenrage are another breath of fresh air for MB community.
WE LOVE THE MRL!!!
(also love the C4 - thats why I play in it as well)

| I just played in askmaddens gauntlet. I made it to the semifinals where me and my opponent couldn't connect so I conceded because I gotta get to bed soon. Real football comes before video game football. Anyway. First game thru the last game was giants vs raiders. I felt like I was just playing one long *** game 4 or 5 of giants vs raiders. How dull | |

There was a point in this years game where you could get it done with campbell or gradkowski. I myself have swithced to the packers. The raiders are just terrible now.
