strategy pad

When I first started it seemed hard but I think I should be able to set up the adjustments in a little while after i learn the pad better.

It is so strange. With all of the improvements the Madden team made, to insert the strategy pad when there was no need for it!

your eggzactly correct ounce everyone memorizes it it wont be a proplem people didnt like other things that came into madden in previous years and now this year its the strategy pad so ur right ounce everyone masters it it wont be a problem the offense hotroutes are exactly the same but defense is wat people will need to work on. IM WORRIED NOW BECAUSE WHEN WEMASTER IT IF MADDEN WILL NEXT YEAR CHANGE IT BACK TO THE OLD HOT ROUTES FROM MADDEN 10 SO THEY BETTER STICK WITH THIS STRATEGY PAD BECAUSE WE ALL WILL MASTER IT RIGHT NOW ITS A BITCH AND SO IS THE CREATOR OF IT

Why not include the option to use the button scheme that we're all used to, OR the new strategy pad? I don't like how theyre forcing the change but hey, we might as embrace the d@mn thing cuz it isnt going anywhere

I'm not embracing it. This will be the 1st Madden ever that I haven't bought.

to be honest i dont think ill buy it august 10th either, ill probobly just stick to NCAA for a while. The strategy pad really bummed me out

I'm starting to adjust to it but I do things differently. I'm glad that you can still hold circle and move around with the D-pad. This allows me to switch to different players while being able to audible without moving my thumb from the left stick.

The only problem with that is that it's very difficult if I want to set a defense up where I have 2 LBs in a gap; I have to move my thumb from the D-pad to the left stick to move my player into the gap, then press down down.

well maybe not embrace, maybe I shoulda said accept.

Perhaps with all the backlash, they will include the option to use the old school controls in the retail game.... we can only hope

If you do the 4-4 double a gap then you can select the lbr on the left, blitz him then press x (ps3) and it takes you to the other mlb so you don't have to hit the left stick. Same for oddsplit i think

you can move back and forth between plays with A and X now, if that helps at all

Yeah, I did that last year. I didn't really mean just those plays. In the 3-4, if you try that technique, it will switch you to the left of screen DE =(

yeah that caused me to jump offsides quite a bit when i switched to the 3 4 lol

Worst addidtion ever!!!!!!!!!!! Everytime I press triangle (Y) my heart breaks everytime its soooooooooo slooooooooowwww

It's going to be optional when they produce a patch in September.

There has to be something for people to complain about before the game comes out
