| I stand by my last comment though, the man hasn't even played in all his teams games this season, he's missed almost half...... and he will not make a run in the playoffs IMO. So we'll see, you can't call him best in league till he does something in the second season. | |

| I wouldn't say the best i agree with sgibs but i put vick at #4 and take out phillip rivers however Vick as to be the hardest QB at this moment to defend against and as far as madden goes i'm just glad it doesn't have a playbook like vick did back it his atlanta days that was hard as hell to defend against | |

| If you put Mike Vick in Indy/New England and put Peyton Manning/Tom Brady in Philly, would Vick's success be the same?
Just sayin.
Vick is scary good right now...but having 2 of the scariest deep threats in the league on the same team is really allowing Vick and McCoy to flourish in the run game.
Another thing, because DJax and Jeremy Maclin are so good at the deep ball, you are seeing corners and safeties playing absurdly far off of the Eagles wide receiver. Look at Horton/Landry last night. They were almost 20 yards away from the line of scrimmage. Vick never saw a defensive look like that when he had Ashlie Lelie, Dez White, and Alge Crumpler to throw to. Lelie was a straight line burner, and half the double move receiver that Jackson and Maclin are. As a result, Vick has some very easy throws to make underneath. Some of these quick hitters are wide open, whereas Lelie, White, and Crumpler didn't deserve a prevent treatment like Jackson and Maclin get.
Not that Vick hasn't gotten better. He has. Reid is a genius with QBs. But I still say that if you put Vick in Indy/NE and Manning/Brady in Philly, you would arguably see a Mike Vick resembling his Atlanta days (not that he wasn't very good in Atlanta, but they played his receivers so much more tightly in ATL than they play his WRs in Philly).
Thinking about Manning throwing quick hitters to Jackson and Maclin (in real life) has me thinking MVP every year. Whereas, you'd start to see press coverage on Wayne, Clark, Collie, etc...and Vick would probably regress back to a run first, throw second quarterback...
That's why I firmly believe Manning/Brady (when I said Manning above, I believe Brady would do the same) are better than Vick.
Vick (as amazing as he's playing) is getting a lot more help from the speed factor of that Philly offense than he's getting credit for. Jackson is what makes that O go, despite what you think.

| As long as he does not become the vick of 04 ill be happy in madden he does deserve to be about a 92 or 93 overall by now though with the way he is playing.
Thanks,

| I agree with SGibs, here.
Is Peyton Hillis the best RB in the league? The past 3-4 weeks, yeah....but I'll take AP/CJ over him without blinking.

| In a 2005 game against the New York Jets, Vick was 11 for 26 passing for 116 yards, 3 INTs, 0 TDs and had 9 rushes for eighteen yards, whilst taking 3 sacks. Bad game. EDIT: Oh, and he had a lost fumble. Really bad game. Committed 4 turnovers. | |

now vick has maclin, jackson, mcoy and celek..

| Oh, and you can't bring up that it was 5 years ago. He was IN JAIL for 3 of the past 5, so as far as I'm concerned, 2005 might as well be 2 seasons ago, since he didn't really play in '09, and his last season playing full-time before jail was in '06. | |

Hillis and McFadden, statistically, are 2 of the best in the league.
